2. Obama will get killed by the 527's because they are going to line up his name, his wife's comments/paper, the preacher(s), his brother and "cousin", his "friends" (ayers, farrakhan, new black panthers, rezko, etc), hand over the heart, lapel pin, etc etc etc etc... but Hillary has stood up to the full bore brunt of the Republican attack machine for 20 years and is still standing, so we put up Clinton.

3. Think that Obama will be able to stand up to the full bore of the Republican attack machine, so we put up Obama.


Which is more important? That you put up someone that will win or someone that is your "ideal" candidate.

Also, remember, you have to answer these questions in the most basic of terms. All of us here get so wrapped up in our candidates and ideology that we forget the fact that we are HYPER politically aware... we also forget that the majority of Americans dont know who Wright is yet, or Ayers, or Rezko... We have to make a judgement about what they will think when all that stuff comes out. Because it will. Add to that stuff, the still existant racism that exists in this country whether we want to admit it or not...



Clinton is arguing #2 and I happen to think that she is right.

Regardless of the fact that I think that Obama is AT LEAST as shady as the Clinton's (who I am fully willing to admit use shady tactics when needed), I do not think that Obama could stand up to the 527's in the eyes of the average american. I personally think that it is going to be a BLOOD BATH if Obama is the nominee.


I really like Obama, I like his plans... hey, they are a virtual photocopy of Hillary's... BUT, even if I liked Obama more and thought he had a damn halo over his head... I would still support Hillary because of point number 2...
