I will give Barack this.
If Barack Obama is elected President, it will be nice to have a commander-in-chief in the Oval Office who can drink a beer without Americans and the rest of the world worrying that he's going to say something that will trigger World War III.

Unlike the current occupant:

I like this one much better:

(I know y'all didn't expect me to post a nice thread about Obama. Do you think that some of y'all could return the favor, as a gesture of good will today in GDP?)

1. I will respond in your thread with a big Thank You.
Good on you for a positive post!

I am awaiting the day when we are all on the same team again.

I think the first few weeks after we have a Nominee, the work will be on bringing the Party together, Unity against McDubya.

2. This will put a smile on your face
Imagine the complete and total thumping a Hillary - McCain debate would be.

No question in my mind she is the smartest of all of the candidates who ran - and he is by far the most clueless.

Watching that demolition would be my biggest consolation prize if she wins the nomination.

My positive vibe for the day :)

3. Ahhh . . . civility. Thanks.
I'm not aligned with either candidate. But I thank you for trying to raise the level of discourse around here. Nice way to start the day. :-)

4. Please don't make beer look bad.
That's not a beer. Only 2 countries make beer the rest are fake knock offs.

10. I agree Maddy!
Also, it appears from the color of it that Obama has good taste in beer!

Notice how he drinks beer while GWB slurps it.

Class vs. tackiness.

11. Oh well. I tried.
My good graces were met with totally incivility today.

Those of you who snicker when you see Clinton called a "cunt" should be proud of yourselves.

on someone like you instead of just leaving.. Not very productive. FWIW here's my two threads from today. Both sank like a stone...

Hell, I like a good beer as much as anyone. And that is a pretty cool picture of Obama.

The thing with the current occupant of the White House about drinking a beer is the fact that he's a fucking hypocrite about it. Didn't dumbshit quit cold turkey or what fucking ever?

Not so much 'returning the favour" as much as stating the obvious:

Hillary is all woman, and yet she's still twice the man Bush is.

25. I've suspected a time or two that Bush was off the wagon.
Let's hope his time left in office ends before Shrub can cause any more trouble.

Here goes with my nice post about Hillary Clinton: she would be able to wake up at 3am should a crisis arise whereas McCain...well, nobody would dare wake him for two reasons: he's old and could have a heart attack and he's got a bad temper and nobody will want the job of waking him.
