1. My garden is in
Roma tomatoes, butternut squash, Kentucky Wonder green beans, fennel, crookneck squash, purple potatoes, green onions, rosemary, Italian parsley, yerba buena, bullhorn peppers, cherry peppers, purple zinnias, sweet pea flowers, oregano, marjoram, hybrid crossvine, giant sunflowers, sweet mesclun mix, and cucumbers. I think that is it.

Now what do you want to talk about?

13. I have dental anxiety
And I learned that my dentist can no longer give me the little helper before I go in to get grinding work done. (Thankew FDA.)

So on the way to the office I stopped and bought a bottle of vodka and took a couple of swigs before the procedure. Not too much. Just a little to take the edge off.

But for a job interview, you would need to probably add some breath mints. :)

I think they are making a difference but it's really too early to tell - will have to wait - some effects supposedly almost immediate, some after a couple weeks, and some after a month.

41. sounds great, will try it. love cream cheese....
I sometimes make these wonton things I call 'hobos'.
cream cheese and crabmeat mixed up with a bit of cut up marishino cherries.
place a bit on a small square wonton, wrap it up and deep fry it

they look like those little sacks at the ends of sticks in cartoons, so that's why I call them hobos'
they are just great!
and for dipping I really like Sweet Chili Sauce.

42. I hear you about the mowing thing
I have to barricade anything I want to have a chance to grow. Even then with stakes and red flags tied to them, some vines have fallen victim.

Do you have a fence to hang baskets on? It keeps the dog peepee off the plants and lots of veggies are happy enough in a container (if you water them every day in hot weather).

It's superificial and meaningless, I know... and there are PLENTY of substantive reasons not to support him... but even if I was some thoughtless apolitical idiot, I still wouldn't like him, cause he just skeeves me out. The shape of his face, the fact that his upper lip doesn't move when he talks, the alligator arms... it all gives me the creeps.

Are you not supposed to tap this late or something?

51. It's from "What do you say after hello?"
by Eric Berne of transactional analysis school (I'm Ok, you're ok). The other one about the collection of ironies was a paraphrase from Vonnegut's Jailbird. Berne's footnoted comment as a humorous answer to his title cracked me up when I read it, but it has never gone over in practice. The standard response is "Perpendicular to what?"

61. I agree completely
A good workout makes the whole world a better place. Well, tolerable at least. Those endorphins are like magic.

And meditating. Shutting down the mind. Make it know who's boss. Thirty minutes of that a day is almost as good as a workout. I don't make the time to do it nearly as much as I would like. It's better if I'm consistent with it.

my yard isn't the greatest for growing stuff - we have a dog and most of it is very shady (the dog, too sometimes). So it taken me years to get some perenial ground cover going. I've planted so much stuff in it over time, some stick, some don't. Very cold climate here so don't have the vast menus other zones do.

Love digging around in the mud and watching my babies grow.

People that slap elbow macaroni, tomato sauce and ground beef together and have the audacity to call it qulasch. Maybe even jail time should be considered.

Serving Gulasch on top of a noodle is perfectly fine. Beef is an acceptable choice in meat although mutton or pork is tastier if one likes them. I can never pass up recommending making a spaetzle as a noodle choice though. Not difficult at all and just so much better suited to Gulasch.

That info might come in handy someday. I don't know how... but you never know.

70. Dude
I just moved to DC from San Diego. I've lost a metric shit ton of weight because this area lacks any decent Asian and/or Mexican eateries.

71. That's a tough move in my opinion
but I hate the cold and I would die without good Asian food!

75. Niche market!
America needs Mexican food. Open a taco stand. That's one of the reasons I can't leave Texas. I just gotta have good Mexican food.

76. You be careful
I heard Croatia is pretty, but I just can't see it being prettier than Ireland. Wish I had a trip to Ireland to look forward to.

78. Kids are out on spring break.
They're staying up late at night. Playing video games most of the day. Sure are missin' out on the nice sunny weather we're finally getting. Maybe I'll kick 'em out of the house tomorrow.
