What did Clinton just say about Gore?
I just turned the tv on and she was on CNN talking about Gore. The title on the bottom of the screen was something about Gore having a place. She was at an airport.

Did anyone see this?

2. Just watched it at cnn.com. She was saying she would love for him to have
a place in her admin.

Also commented on the Richardson conversation.

Damn I like that lady.

6. I wonder if they patched up their deep differences in a formal way
I'd like to hear Gore comment on this to let us know how they came to agreement if it happened. I have my doubts since they've disliked each other for so long.

Thanks for posting what she said.

10. I have heard they didn't care for each other...
At least I've heard it referred to repeatedly here at DU. Can you inform me on this a bit? Why exactly do they have difficulties, do you know? I'm assuming it's from the years that he was VP..

12. I've heard it on MSNBC - Matthews and Olbermann
What I heard is that when he was VP she interfered with his position trying to take over duties. And I recall Matthews saying that they hated each other. No mincing words there.

4. Head of the EPA.
Of course I was told by Gore supporters, who told me that if he didn't win the world would end, that that's crazy talk.

8. Yeah, right
My first take is that this is a combination of wishful thinking. Time will tell but I doubt he'd take the position.

7. Gore emphatically said on Larry King last year that he would not accept
a cabinet position. I think he likes where he is now and doesn't want to curb his speech because of his boss, the President of the United States. As a private citizen, he's one of the President's boss and can lead a large movement to pressure Congress and the White House to take strong action against global warming.

11. Obama reached for the word
"table" in his real quote. Primarily Gore would be considered a leading advocacy resource indicating Obama's committments on the issue. Cabinet position speculation is minor and not the issue. Gore has been in a cabinet before. He would not cherish that experience again per se nor would he need to be offered it for the work that needs to be done.
