Will Murdoch's support of Obama be surprising to anyone?
Both Scaiffe and Murdoch will have their hands in everything and continue to wield influence over our government polocies no matter who wins in November. I know it's only Murdoch's daughter who is throwing the fundraiser for Obama, but our politics gets slimmier every day. I thought the Sacaiffe endorsement of Hillary was bad, but this is bad too.

1. Not me, I predicted he would last week.
If for no other reason than to fuck with us and create even more discord.

4. That's Murdoch's way of covering bases. It never meant anything when he
sent a donation to Gore or Kerry. It's the BIG fundraising early on that directs his truer intentions. Once it becomes apparent who the nominee will be THEN they make sure there is some donation that pops up from Murdoch.

That way they can always hide behind it when they use their network to trash the Dem nominee for 23 hours a day.

7. Fox News is still...
running the Wright scandal 24/7, perhaps trying to convince the so-called Obama-cans to go back across the aisle. Murdoch's network obviously hates Obama, so I assume he does as well. And I doubt Obama would give those fuckers a seat at the table after they've been constantly smearing him over this for weeks and will continue it for months. Hell, I bet they'll still be talking about it 2 years from now if he's the President.

9. nope
Weren't there reports that his daughter was trying to expand as a media tycoon and wanted to do PR for celebrities? I have a feeling that the Gwyneth factor was a more important part of the equation for her.

I wasn't saying "nope" to the Ronald Reagan JR question, I was saying "nope" to the original question "Will people be offended if.."

Haha, just wanted to make that disclaimer before it looked like I was a ditz.

Sorry. I misspoke. Sleep deprivation. I say millions of words a day, and that's the first time I misspoke in twelve or so years.

15. the NY post
Yes, but the Post has also been brutal in hammering him on the Wright issue, so I would take their "endorsement" with a grain of salt.

Now I've just outed myself as a reader of the NY Post.

21. Sounds like a classic Rovian dirty trick.
If you're taking money from a sleazy donor, and don't want to be called out for it on the campaign trail, you call your sleazy donor and ask him to make a small donation to your opponent's campaign. When your opponent calls you out from taking money from your sleazy donor, you act indignant and say "You're a hypocrite - you took money from him too!"

22. This shows the typical hypocracy of many Obama supporters.
A shady character endorses Clinton and is is supposed to prove that she is "corrupt".
A shady character endorses Obama and there is nothing wrong with that. I noticed that most Obama supporters had nothing to say about Lee Hamilton's endorsement of Obama.
Had he endorsed HRC, we would have never heard the end of it from the Obamites.
From day one, this double standard has been applied.

24. Just read the New York Post, guys
No other newspaper hates Hillary Clinton as much as the New York Post does. It was not just the endorsement. It's attacks on a daily basis against her.
