This, the most important issue this campaign season: Circumcision.
http://www.latimes.com/features/health/la-he-circumcision31mar31,1,7970456.story

The LA Times recently published the above piece discussing parents' decisions on whether or not to circumcise their baby boys. Circumcision is a crucial topic to many American families. In fact, it is THE crucial topic of 2008 that SHOULD NOT be ignored! I want to know where Obama and Clinton stand on this, damn it, and I want it only discussed in black-and-white terms. Is it male mutilation, or is it a preventative measure by which a man can avoid all STD's?

Wait - what is that you're telling me? There's a war? And a recession? And a falling dollar coupled with unemployment? Fuck all of that. Circumcision is one of the first decisions parents make for their male children after birth, before their children ever pick up a gun or pick up their first unemployment checks. The very FIRST.

I am very certain that if we resolve the conflict surrounding circumcision, we can resolve many of our social ills. After all, it is the foreskin that foretells the future of our great nation, does it not?

So Barack and Hillary - WHERE DO YOU STAND ON CIRCUMCISION?

3. I don't get it: this was a "health" article, not a political one
I've got news for you: life goes on, despite hotly contested primary seasons. And people have babies (and get married, die, have surgery, etc.). And people still have to decide whether to circumcise their male children--whether there's a war going on, a primary, or the freakin' Final Four.

Why didn't you pick a sports topic to make fun of? Why are people spending their time making bracket charts instead of counting superdelegates?

Silly, silly. This thread belongs in the Lounge.

5. Foreskins can be a drawback, but they keep the glans nice and clean and shiny
And save the guy from the ubiquitous callouses on the glans of circumcised males. Anyone with one wouldn't do without it and the opinions of anyone who doesn't have one is moot.

8. Circumcision is genital mutilation. Jokes about mutilating genitals-

only if male, are still considered hilarious.
