Jane Fonda endorses Obama ..and Hillary couldn't be happier
This could be one of those less desirable votes for part of the country, especially if Obama was hoping to attract some crossover Republicans if he's the Democratic candidate come fall.

Obama, who was recently named the most liberal member of the Senate by the nonpartisan NationalJournal, has sought to portray himself as the earliest anti-Iraq war opponent.

The problem is that during Fonda's controversial wartime visit to North Vietnam, she was photographed at a Communist anti-aircraft gun battery. According to the photo caption distributed at the time, she joined North Vietnamese soldiers there in singing an antiwar song while preparing to shoot at attacking Americans.http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/04/jane-fonda-endo.html

I have no problem with Jane Fonda, but then, I'm not the swing vote in the big, blue-collar states.

12. Ironic
The most republican person I know says the only woman he would ever vote for is Jane Fonda. Because the college kids like her.

Not that I put to much behind what he believes. He also thinks that cigarettes keep him from getting colds by keeping his lungs warm. And that the Ford Bronco is best auto ever made. He also has a pretty major case of PTSD and claims that he SAW nukes used in Nam. As I said, the most genuinely Republican person I know. I am glad he lives somewhere safe where he can't hurt himself and gets fed regularly. Chalk one up for the VA.

13. Cluster bombs kill and maim kids in Lebanon .. and Hillary couldn't be happier
Why would a supposedly enlightened liberal, a mother herself, vote against this?

Cluster bombs and landmines are particularly terrifying weapons that wreak havoc on communities trying to recover from war. They are fatal impediments to reconstruction and rehabilitation of agricultural land; they destroy valuable livestock; they disable otherwise productive members of society; they maim or kill children trying to salvage them for scrap metal. Over 150 nations have signed the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty.

In the autumn of 2006, there was a chance to take a step in the right direction: Senate Amendment No. 4882, an amendment to a Pentagon appropriations bill that would have banned the use of cluster bombs in civilian areas. Amendment No. 4882 was an easy one to vote against: Who'd want to risk accusation of "tying the hands of the Pentagon" during a never-ending, global War on Terror? As is so often the case, there was no political cost to doing the wrong thing. And there was no political reward for doing the right thing.

But Senator Obama did the right thing.

Senator Obama of Illinois voted IN FAVOR of the ban.

Senator Clinton of New York voted AGAINST the ban.

Analysts say Clinton did not want to risk appearing "soft on terror," as it would have harmed her electability. Amendment Rejected.

Remember Jews will never stand by Obama rhetoric? Just to add to the list of stuff you got wrong.
If I were you I’d stop believing in myself.
