Clinton and backer use tax haven investigated by Congress

The Quellos Fund was investigated by Congress. Hillary Clinton uses it. See page 8 of her 2006 tax returns.

Also, note that Haim Saban is a major backer of Hillary Clinton.

Quellos was front and center in an Aug. 1 report by a U.S. Senate subcommittee investigating offshore tax haven abuses. The report said Quellos "designed, promoted, and implemented" a tax shelter called POINT, which was used to shield $2 billion in capital gains from U.S. taxes, costing the U.S. Treasury $300 million in revenue. The report said the POINT tax strategy "was based upon billions worth of fake securities transactions that were used to generate billions of dollars in fake capital losses" in a bid to avoid paying taxes.

5. From a 2006 HuffPo article:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-weissman/only-the-little-people_b_26251.html

In contrast to the case histories examining offshore structures used over a period of years, this inquiry focuses on the use of offshore secrecy jurisdictions to facilitate one-time tax shelter transactions. The tax shelter was designed, promoted, and implemented by a Seattle-based securities firm, Quellos Group, LLC, ("Quellos"), with the assistance of lawyers, bankers, and other professionals. Quellos sold the shelter, called POINT (Personally Optimized Investment Transaction), to five wealthy clients in six separate transactions. Together, the tax shelters were used in an effort to erase over $2 billion in capital gains that would otherwise have been taxed, costing the U.S. Treasury lost revenue of about $300 million.

<snip>
Five U.S. taxpayers, including Haim Saban and Robert Wood Johnson IV, purchased the tax shelter, paying fees totaling approximately $65 million.

13. What I would like to see is how she has voted a Senator against tax havens
and the like. Any comments on record aboout them? Has she eagerly joined any bills or legislation against them or has she remained silent?

6. The tax returns are gonna bite the Clinton in the ass
Bill was $12 million in debt when he left office.

There is a ton of questionable monies that Bill got.

$50 million in speeches alone.

10. I think these are the kinds of things that could create a problem for her, but
I doubt that the media will do the coverage that is necessary to get the public to understand. I find this to be just another loophole, similar to companies that move outside of the U.S. for the tax incentives, which the working people in this country despise.

11. Ding, ding, ding
We have a winner...exactly. The same MSM that has ignored her campaign finances problems will ignore this too instead of helping the average/casual news viewer to connect the dots.
All stems back to their news show ratings. If she is out of the race, they can't keep viewers tuned in..they have to go along with the charade that she is still IN this race.
