Snoop Dogg's Too Baked for Politics
Snoop Dogg won't let his political views influence his records.

The 'Sensual Seduction' singer has strong opinions about former US President Bill Clinton and presidential candidate Barack Obama, but doesn't want them to play a big part in his music.

He said: "I feel like all these political things affect me, but I don't need to be crying and s**t on my records."

Snoop also said he felt Bill Clinton was a great US President because he recognised there was a racial problem in the country.

He added to Britain's The Guardian newspaper: "Clinton was the closest we are going to get to the first black president. He related to black needs and black values, black understanding and racism. He was from Little Rock in Arkansas.

"That's a black-dominated world. He was part of us. That's why everyday was happy when he was in office. It was just the funnest time in the world. Everything worked."

Snoop Dogg torn between Obama, Clinton

(CNN) — Days before 22 states are set to hold Democratic primary contests, it appears at least one crucial endorsement is still up for grabs: Rapper Snoop Dogg's.

The rapper and music producer told CNN's Larry King he is torn between both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton's historic candidacies.

"I just want to see somebody win in the best interest of America — whether it be , a black man, or whether it be Hillary, a woman," Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr., says in an exclusive interview set to air Friday night.

"Either one is a great move for America," he continued. "We need change. We need somebody in there that's about listening to the people and representing the people. I think both of the candidates will do that."

Snoop Dogg also said he thinks America is ready for a black president, noting Obama is the first African-American with a legitimate chance to win the White House.

"In the past we had presidential candidates like Jesse Jackson. We didn't really think he can win," he said. "Right now people feel like this man could really win. He's got the right thing going for him. He's got the right conversation. He's in line with the right scenario to win. Whether he wins or loses, he made a great step for black America by even stepping to the table and pulling off something like this."

Snoop Dogg Blasts Obama

AP Photo/Jason DeCrow

Hip-hop star Snoop Dogg has launched a scathing attack on U.S. presidential hopeful Barack Obama, accusing him of gleaning support from the Ku Klux Klan.

The rapper, real name Calvin Broadus Jr., insists the Democratic candidate has received funding from the KKK.

He tells the Guardian, "The KKK gave Obama money. They was (sic) one of his biggest supporters ... Why wouldn't they be? The media won't tell you that. They don't want you to know that. They just want you to know that this befriended this other who be (sic) threatening your values.

"But we all know all presidents lie to get into office. That's they (sic) job."

But Snoop insists Obama will still emerge victorious in the upcoming presidential elections. He adds, "In America's eyes, that mutha's gonna be president 'cos (John) McCain can't with him. Hillary (Clinton) can't with him. He's winning over white people, white ladies."

Obviously, this is the source of Mr Dogg's confusion.

I can't believe the SF Gate didn't bother to investigate the veracity of this claim at all....
