She was just tired when she got the wrong facts from a
deputy sheriff who had family in Northern Ireland and
they were under sniper fire and the deputy got the story
from a source that had plagiarized it and the computer
on which the story was written up had bad software because
it had been outsourced thanks to NAFTA. All this is because
of cheap tricks being used on her out of the Karl Rove play-book.

After all she is just human .... and that might come as a surprise
to some of us.

because the story suited her purposes - even tho she KNEW that her staff had been unable to confirm it.

She showed extremely poor judgement at the very best. Combine that poor judgement a few other incidents of her less than "honest" statements (like the gross exagerations of the dodging sniper fire - a story she embellished and repeated)... and viola - now not only is her veracity in question, but her judgement as well.
