Sent my birthday money to Obama
Hey folks, it's me, Miss Waverly, one of those who are called "small donors" by the MSM for Obama, you know the one that's supposed to disappear. Well, this is my 2nd contribution to Obama. I'm sending him my $25.00 birthday money. Hey, I am not one of the high rollers that donated the $500 million to the Clinton library or the $106 million since they left the White House. But, I am here and I am determined that he's going to win. I am not going to disappear once the primaries are over. Did I mention that I have been contributing every month to the DNC since 2005. That's over $500.00 now, plus what I have donated to Jim Webb, Ms. Burner, my local dems, et al.

:-)

4. I'm sending not a penny to either.
Not that there's any extra around here to send. I made my sacrifices last fall, and sent what I had to the candidate that deserved my support. Last fall was a long time ago, and I no longer have any extra change lying around. If I did, it wouldn't go to Obama or Clinton.

My birthday was last week. I didn't get money. I got a visit from my son, an Arlo Guthrie concert from my mom, a windchime from my grandson, and a $25 B&N gift card from my other son.

There is no way in hell I'm going to send my gift card to Obama. I'm going to head into the book store and browse to my heart's content, finally bringing home some precious new reading material.

9. Hey, I understand, I love getting presents
I am enjoying my other presents as well, a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle which is a landscape with amish quilts, "Becoming a better you"
by Joel Osteen, Trading Spaces: Great Kitchen Designs-which is really funny-Buffalo episode and Florida makeover and the
Father Brown series. I like my presents but I know there is something major wrong with this country and we are all going
to have to do an Extreme makeover on what is now in place.

I'd be enjoying those gifts, too. I agree about the "extreme makeover," lol. I'm not convinced that Obama or HRC will do that, but every little bit of hopeful possibility helps.

14. Yes, that's my thought too
As a boomer I remember the 50s (dimly) and the 60s; this country was better back then. The people were more friendly and not so
much in debt as we are now. We had terrible problems back then, still do. But it seems now that special interests have all the
power and that there is no such thing as the "Common Good." I would like to see the government of "We the People" again.

33. Current situation reminds me of Boss Tweed
He said that the Public was a sheep to shear but if you insult it, it's a wolf. I think the American people are
tired of pomp and privilege esp. when it eventually is done with their dime. Donors for special interests consider
campaign spending like a ticket for a free ride after the election. 500 million for the Clinton library and 106 million
since 2000 for speaking engagements, etc. sound like a lot of political IOUs to me.
