Poll, Iowa: Obama 46% McCain 42%.... McCain leads Hillary Clinton 51% to 36%
Sunday, April 06, 2008

In Iowa, the latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds Barack Obama leading John McCain 46% to 42%. However, McCain leads Hillary Clinton 51% to 36%. Those results are similar to the previous election poll in Iowa.

McCain leads Clinton by a two-to-one margin among unaffiliated voters. However, Obama leads McCain 46% to 37% among those same voters...

McCain is viewed favorably by 58% of Iowa voters, Obama by 54%, and Clinton by 37%.

2. This is the same state where McCain came in 4th in during the Rethug primary
I would expect Obama to win the state by 4-6 points. It'll be a swing state, but it'll lean Obama heavily.

8. Of course not...........Iowans
Are only interested in being FIRST!

They don't matter, too small a state, too liberal, not any real solid people, filled with transients, inner city areas like Iowa will always go for the minority candidate.

How many excuses will we hear in the week ahead by James and Ed and other Hillary surrogates?

15. I know! Barack would have had a hard time if he did not win Iowa
That was the moment when blacks started to back him. When they saw that he could win a state that was mostly white they took notice. My FIL was all set to vote for Hillary (gag!). After Iowa he said he would back Barack all the way. :) Then Bill started all that crap in South Carolina and that just firmed up the black support.

14. The people in Iowa really don't like Hillary
First she gets third place in the primary. Then Barack wins even more delegates at their convention. Now McCain is kicking her butt in a poll there. I have never been to Iowa but I think I might like it there. They have good taste when it comes to presidential candidates. :)
