Obama/Clinton versus Mccain/Rice?
Condi Rice is actively seeking the vice presidency

Very interesting:

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/04/dan-senor-condo.html

I think Obama would need to pick Clinton to hold onto the women's vote in this case but what do I know.

Mccain/Rice would be a very attractive GOP ticket unfortunately to so-called "moderates."

6. Are you saying goldcanyonaz
That if it's not Hillary Clinton, you're voting for John Mccain? Or am I misreading you?

If so, I profoundly say

SHAME ON YOU

15. Not voting for a Democrat IS voting for McCain
Thank you, in advance, for a wounded Democratic candidate AND another GOP nightmare.

That's just about the last card, isn't it? The rally the women one has already been played. It didn't work either.

I hope you see through your own smugness that you are hurting the Democratic Party. Guess it doesn't matter to you since they took away the nomination that Hillary was promised, am I right?

25. You know there are other forums for you to go to then
Is there not hundreds of Clinton forums out there?

You are not doing ANYTHING for Clinton by declaring your intention to not vote. Not only is it helping McCain but you are harming the view of Clinton by not honoring your civic duty.

And yes voting is a civic duty. For petes sakes go in and write in Clinton if you have to but VOTE!!!

Again there are other forums.

19. So you don't actually care about supporting women then, just Clinton?
Janet Napolitano wouldn't be good for you, say? Even though she's a governor with an excellent track and electoral record, and knows just where to hit McCain?

14. Obama/Clinton may be her only way to the presidency
Assuming Obama would get two terms, she's be 68, in 2008. That's old, but it's not THAT old. She could run then.

23. why do you think Obama needs HRC in order to hold the womens vote? I'm a woman and I do not vote
based on a candidates genitalia...

any more than I vote based on which candidate I would "rather have a beer with"

Frankly I find the premise that women are such silly creatures that they vote based on gender to be offensive... but then - what do I know?

In my case - if Obama picked HRC as his VP then I would find it very hard to pull the lever for him...

24. Just posted in another thread - Lt. Gen Claudia Kennedy (Ret.)
The first woman in the U.S. Army to hold a three-star rank. Resident of Virginia. Member of the Military Intelligence Hall of Fame.

She was born in Germany, but I think both her parents were "natural born" American citizens which I think makes her eligible for the Presidency. Not sure on that, though.

She's been an advocate for women soldiers for her entire military career. She'd hold the women's vote, without the "baggage." And in 8 years, I think she'd make a GREAT president!

I don't think we want 2 senators on the ticket.

Having a black person on each ticket would keep the Bubbas home on election day, a plus for Dems.

29. Clinton Hurts the ticket.
I give women more credit than to just vote where the woman on the ticket is (If they were that much of lemmings Mondale would have won in 1984.)

Obama needs a foreign policy expert... Richard Clarke would be perfect as the man who could have prevented 9/11 if anyone listened to him. Plus he is seen as bi-partisan having served under Reagan, Bush, Clinton and then little idiot bush.

so it is pointless.

Besides, he needs someone who enhances his agenga and fills in the gaps.
