Hillary's credibility issue is growing. Health Insurance-gate
Hillary is at it again. Reciting powerful stories with vivid detail. Yet.... the story actually isn't true.

It has been exposed that Hillary was reciting a story about a pregnant woman who died in part because she did not have insurance or $100 in order to get an exam but now the hospital is saying that they did provide the patient with an examination and has told the Hillary campaign to stop telling the story because it is not true.

OUCH. Again, she's making a point but screws it up to the point that it hurts her badly. Could you imagine her running the GE like this? Telling stories that she does not even know are true or not.

1. If a sheriff told me that story,
I'd believe him. I feel bad for Hillary on this one -- I'm guessing lots of stories like this are relayed on the campaign trail. If she hadn't gotten nailed on the Bosnia story, this would have never been an issue. And although the story wasn't accurate in this particular instance, I think it speaks to the bigger truth of how often this type of thing DOES happen.

So on this one, I'm giving Hillary a pass. She didn't fabricate or embellish it - just passed along a horrible tale that I'm sure really did distress her.

2. Agreed
This is not the same as the Tulza story where she just flat out lied.

3. You're right.
And even if she got the specifics of this particular story wrong, these things still happen in America all the time. Her broader point stands.

There, I wasn't sure if I could still say something positive about her. Guess I can.:)

4. No, this is not a flat out LIE like Bosnia but it hurts her credibility and would be fodder
for the RNC attack machine on her. I bring it up as another example that Hillary is NOT the most electable like she claims. She has a troubling narrative forming that she will do and say whatever to get a vote and does not care if it is a lie or an exaggeration.

5. However, as Commander in Chief...
...it's her job to separate fact from fiction, to, pardon the Reaganism, "Trust but verify."

If she cannot get a simple story in the nation's backyard correct, how can we expect her to differ from the neo-cons when it comes to rumors of weapons of mass destruction arising in the Middle East?

No pass.

6. I'm reminded of what the media did to Gore in 2000, specifically the
story he told about the high school girl in Florida whose classroom didn't have enough desks or something. The story was basically true - he might have gotten a minor detail wrong - but the media used it to fuel the Gore-is-a-serial-exaggerator fire.

The media will have a field day with her in the GE if she's the nominee.

7. Yep, the GOP and medai will just dust off the 2000 play book
unfortunately Hillary is making it easier by not vetting these stories and of course just flat out lying as was the case for Bosnia.

9. What about the story Obama told about the Kennedy connection
to his Father's arrival in this country? Clinton should have pounced on it, but, the media gave him another pass. Doubt he'll get a pass if he's the nominee. Guess he should have vetted this more thoroughly, eh?

There appears to be a concerted effort to make sure he is the nominee. Obviously, they feel they can whip his butt in the GE; but, they have to get rid of Hillary first.

I'm sure you all know who "they" is.

8. Certainly was not true for that hospital, but, and this is a very large BUT,
there were two hospitals involved. The story is true. This should be out in the papers tomorrow.

10. This story won't be that big of an issue.......
as it only brings attention to the lack of due diligence on the campaign in terms of vetting stories told, but does not go to whether she lied or not, because it appears that she didn't lie, as far as I know....only repeated a story told to her.
