20. We welcome you here!
Just be sure to take up residence at least two weeks prior to the general election so you can register to vote. Wanna know why? Google Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. (Or PM me if that doesn't give the answer.)

Someone called me the other day to ask who I was voting for--Clinton or Obama. I said Obama. Guess I'm locked in now, huh??

64. I'm going to be out here for at least the next month
So far I am loving it.

It has two great cities (Portland, and I heard Eugene is nice too), a river, mountains, gorges...tons of activities. My work place is on the river bank and offers an amazing view. I don't really think I'm going back to MI.

And yeah, Obama will win it. You should make it out here for sure. It's an awesome state - and there's no sales tax which is nice for shopping...and overall the cost of living is cheaper than CA but offers many of the same things (though the weather is kinda gray and overcast and rainy at times, but changes frequently).

27. Oh, I don't think I WAS fooling myself
He got 68% in Washington and 80% in Idaho. He won 82/83 counties between those two states. The one county he lost was in Idaho and had 17 democratic voters, of whom only 7 voted for him.

He won virtually every county in Northern Nevada, and he would have won every county in "Jefferson" California if Edwards hadn't captured 10+ percent of the vote.

I think Oregon is Obama country, bigtime.

Oregon is a primary and Oregon is more conservative than Washington.

29. That is not possible unless Obama wins PA
Clinton winning PA by any means will cost Obama some percent on later states.

However if he wins he will likely gain some percent because of doing what was considered impossible which is winning a strong Clinton firewall.

No the talk was that Obama was down by a bit so him being over 10 percent before he does major campaigning there is fine!

they may feel Obama is too young. They're also more likely to care about "exprience"--even though we all know Clinton doesn't have appreciably more experience, she has generated that perception.

My impression is that these days, Oregon is simply a satellite state of Washington/Seattle, the very birthplace of latte liberalism. Amazing how many people still support Hillary, despite all the media Obamalove. He's just not ready. A lot of people aren't willing to ignore that inconvenient truth.

I love this state - so far I've been here less than a week.

If this is the birthplace of latte liberalism, go latte liberalism! The coffee out here, like the rest of the food is tasty. It is a very nice state. Seems pretty tolerant, and gasp - LIBERAL! I don't feel like heading back.

I guess it was the "tough questions" she was asked like "Uhm, about Iraq, :wtf:", which she then fumbled gloriously, and her bizarre response about dirty campaigning that this was "one of the most positive and civil campaigns I have ever been a part of".

Yes, she actually said that.
