McCain must be shaking in his boots as Obama hints that he might opt of public financing
The Illinois Senator hints that he might opt out of federal financing at Tuesday night fundraiser:

“We have created a parallel public financing system where the American people decide if they want to support a campaign they can get on the Internet and finance it, and they will have as much access and influence over the course and direction of our campaign that has traditionally reserved for the wealthy and the powerful.”

2. Yep, Obama is right on this. He is getting public funding but its from
thousands of small donors not the FEC.

3. Obama's campaign is the truest form of "Public Financing"
Over 1.3Million citizens already own a piece of his campaign. One can only imagine how much that is going to grow once he becomes the official nominee.

4. Obama would be an idiot to take public financing at this point
Why would he give up such a huge fundraising advantage over McSame?

7. McCain Obviously Can't Play By Public Financing Rules Anyway
He's already cheated on them in the primary. That gives Obama a great reason to forgo them.

9. McCain is definitely having trouble raising money-only $15M raised in March as presumptive nominee!

10. McCain has MILLIONS in free media promotions for him and attacks against Obama.
Plus, all of the 527s can run the attack ads while McCain looks like Mr. Clean. I wonder what the imputed campaign ad value of Fox News is? It has to be in the hundreds of millions.

Obama has to opt out b/c otherwise he would be at the mercy of Democratic 527s to fight McCain (and who knows how many Clinton people already looking at 2012 will be involved in those groups).

11. McCain is breaking the law right now, knowingly.
Obama should not and must not agree to any restrictions. McCain cannot be trusted to stay within the restrictions, he has already demonstrated that he will violate the regulations whenever he feels like it.

GoBama.
