I post to Townhall only because we need to get prepared for the shit storm, the idiot winds, and the moronic monsoon that will inevitably crash into the good ship Obama. Know thy enemy, my friends. The attacks against Obama will be illogical, hateful, racist, anti-Muslim and worse. We will not be able to counter these with facts or appeals to logic. But counter them we must. Crush them, we must.

The article at the link is borderline demented and unworthy of publication in the editorial section of a high school weekly reader, but it's far from the worst drivel on this page. The most vile posters are lost causes of course, but we can't let their slanderous anti-Obama message seep down to their friends and relatives who might otherwise vote Democratic.

We need to get over being frustrated with these Christofascists (the people found at the link are hardly true Christians), xenophobes, and hate-mongers and get our message across. It is going to be a busy summer as we refute forwarded email chains, skewed youtube videos, biased news reports and the like, but we have little choice. We need to penetrate through the clutter and make sure people know the REAL Obama and not the America-hating, Allah-worshiping, terrorist lover that the Rabid Right Wing is going to portray him as.

We may still be in the primaries, but with Obama holding an insurmountable lead, it is not too soon to act. I will not allow Obama to be swiftboated the way Kerry was, but he will be if we don't take every affront, every racist remark and every hysterical blog posting seriously. Kerry didn't think the Swiftboat attacks should be dignified with a response. I'm sure Obama doesn't think many of these attacks are worthy of a response either. But they are. Don't let these farts linger...smack 'em down!

still, this is just the beginning. my point was I don't think we serve ourselves well by turning a blind eye to these types of attacks.

at the very least, we all need to be aware of it and need to know if it is getting better or worse...
