Breaking! PROTEST outside NBC this Friday morning at 8:00 a.m., West 48th Street and Rock
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/13/magazine/13matthews-t.html?ref=magazine&pagewanted=all">Excerpts which help to explain why Matthews is so at home with Obama’s circus of the ridiculous:

"He is, in a sense, the carnival barker at the center of it, spewing tiny pellets of chewed nuts across the table while comparing Obama to Mozart and Clinton to Salieri. At one point, Matthews suddenly became hypnotized by a TV over the bar set to a rebroadcast of “Hardball.” “Hey, there I am — it’s me,” he said, staring at himself on the screen. “It’s me.”

It's ALL about Chris Matthews and his political preference. When will the misogynist, Tweety, start giving viewers a fair and balanced report of election news when there is a woman is in the race? Are his personal misogynistic, chauvinistic values more important to nbc than a fair and balanced reportage of the news? If you're in the neighborhood @ 8 am Friday, please join the crowd of inquiring minds who want to know.

He will love HC tomorrow.

It's not about Obama, Tweety is a Republican and all he can see is ratings.

4. He does commentary on his show.
It's not a straight news show and he doesn't have to start giving viewers a "fair and balanced" report of election news if he doesn't want to. And after all, there are enough shills for Clinton on the air like Lou Dobbs who can counter balance any pro Obama commentary.

But they were kind of not fair and balanced...anyway I don't protest political commentators on cable TV shows who reach 300,000 people in a day. Kind of a waste of time don't you think?

33. Tellurian, I see a lot of Hypocrisy in the way the Obama supporters are responding
They were encouraged when moveon did the same protest in New York last month for Obama but when the Hillary supporters do the same thing the Obama supporters are negative. I don't understand the logic in this.

43. You may not remember but Hilary's supporters supported moveon
financially and through general support of moveon. Also, Hillary voted for moveon as well. However, when moveon chose to support Obama over Clinton, they lost Clinton's supporters as well as donations because of that. Even when they voted, approximately 100,000 voted out of the large membership. It wasn't really fair to Hillary because moveon gets support and funding from people who favor both candidates. Just my opinion, but, I wished moveon wouldn't have picked a candidate before the nominee was decided because the governing body should have known picking one over the other was counter to what they are about.

66. You are right. But a lot of Hillary supporters can't seem to get the difference.
Mathews does commentary, and by definition some people aren't going to agree with him. But that doesn't mean that he can't offer his own opinions. If the Clinton supporters don't like it, there is an easy solution. Change the channel.

36. YOu miss the point.
I have never said anything racist about Obama. Yet, it is acceptable on this board to use sexist remarks to define her, dehumaize her, minimize her.

I have never suggested that those who do not support Clinton are sexist. I have said that those who attempt to minimize her because she is a female are sexist.
