...that he's trying to get attention away from her and to himself. My thinking is his ego would never let him put himself in a bad light and ruin his won favorable polls. Plus, he KNOWS people realize if they vote for her, they get him, as well. So, I sorta dismissed that motivation on that basis. But it's sure got us all sort of cocking our heads in bewilderment.
