I'm a Hillary fan, but I think she needs to let Obama have at it...
I know she still has a chance to win the nomination, but unfortunately I don't think the Obama supporters would ever believe she did it honestly. Even the general public has the perception that he has won. There would be such animosity from them that I don't think she could win the general election at this point.

On the other hand, I don't think Obama could have won the General election under any circumstances. Someday there will be a black president, but he'll need a list of genuine accomplishments to get there. Someday there will be a woman president, but she will have to be accomplished, while appearing warm or nurturing or whatever it is people want in a woman. It's easier to portray warmth than it is to invent accomplishments, so I sincerely believe Hillary had a real chance in the beginning, but there's no way to fix it now.

I hate it, but I think it unlikely either of our candidates will beat McCain. If Hillary is the nominee, Obama will be back in 4 years or 8 years, most likely still unable to win in a General Election, and we lose again. I think all we can do at this point is let him have a go at it, put this behind us and move on.

1. And in more cheerful news.....
I think EITHER of our candidates could beat McLame. The country is sick of war. The economy is in the toilet. I don't think either racism or mysogeny is going to be the determining factor.

3. Defeatist much? I happen to think Obama will have a fine chance to
win the GE if he had some breathing room to actually fight McCain; at this point he doesn't.

5. I hope
your defeatism is not contagious. McCain is an angry unstable old man and there is no way this will not become apparent in the general election. I think Obama will kick his ass.

6. Both can beat McCain. As far as letting him have it
I think it is just a matter of time before Obama gets it. HRC will give up, she won't try and "steal" it because she knows it would result in a party revolt.

08 is ours. Despite some of the whining here, we got this one.

7. LET OBAMA HAVE AT IT?!
She needs to go home and dry her tears. She has no chance. He will win. And you are the one who needs to get in touch with reality. Obama WILL win.
