John Mellencamp is a bitter fool who clings to religion!
Well I was born in a small town
And I live in a small town
Probably die in a small town
Oh, those small communities

All my friends are so small town
My parents live in the same small town
My job is so small town
Provides little opportunity

Educated in a small town
Taught to fear of jesus in a small town
Used to daydream in that small town
Another boring romantic thats me

But Ive seen it all in a small town
Had myself a ball in a small town
Married an l.a. doll and brought her to this small town
Now shes small town just like me

No I cannot forget where it is that I come from
I cannot forget the people who love me
Yeah, I can be myself here in this small town
And people let me be just what I want to be

Got nothing against a big town
Still hayseed enough to say
Look whos in the big town
But my bed is in a small town
Oh, and thats good enough for me

Well I was born in a small town
And I can breathe in a small town
Gonna die in this small town
And thats probably where they'll bury me

Oh, and remember this guy from a small town who had a special affection for small towns?

Protecting Lawful Gun Ownership: In small towns, hunting and gun ownership is a way of life. We can protect Second Amendment rights while also doing more to keep guns out of the hands of people who may pose a danger to themselves or others. Edwards will protect the right of law-abiding citizens to participate in gun shows, while ensuring that firearms sold there are subject to an instant check.

What was his main campaign song? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_bh1rF3sBY He clearly did not look down upon small towns. The use of the song was due to him being a big fan of Mellencamp but also to signal affinity with other people who are small town folk.

5. Read the OP. People have been hunting in small towns for generations
Although you are right about trade policy, as Edwards noted. Too bad we are stuck with too "free" traders!

9. It's nice to see you stop talking about race for a change.
But I'm curious, you joined this site on January 4th, and since that time it appears that you have well over 10,000 posts. How do you find the time?
