Have the Clintons gone tone deaf?
Edited on Sat Apr-12-08 07:42 AM by Jeff In Milwaukee
The whole Tuzla thing was bad enough. But is there some strategist in the Clinton Campaign who thinks it's a good idea to keep bringing it up? Hillary brings it up on Leno, Bill resurrects it again last week. It's like reminding a prospective employer every few minutes that you were fired from your last job.

And now the whole "bitterness" thing and trying to make Obama out to be the elitist. Obama is the guy who cut his teeth as a community organizer in one of the poorest neighborhoods in America, and who up until his book started selling like hotcakes two years ago, was solidly middle class. Do the Clintons really (really) want people to start making those comparisons -- like the fact that Bill earned more than $50 million in speakers fees, often from large corporations.

As with everything else the Clinton's have attempted, this is going to backfire. And you have to wonder who's in charge.

1. It's the old top-down approach.
Hillary is running a dinosaur-styled campaign. She didn't understand the internet on fund-raising or fact-checking. She still uses the "I will fix it" approach. Asking nothing from us, other than loyalty.

Obama learned from Howard Dean's 21st Century approach, bottom-up, and perfected it. If Hillary had adapted, she may be doing better.
