Rasmussen daily graph for 4/12/08 - Obama down 1 (46), Clinton unchanged (44)
Both Democrats are doing well against McCain in a number of states, according to Rasmussen.

(Pretend that the 10 and 20 lines are actually 0. Does anyone know how to make Excel label different parts of the axis differently?)

1. Also from Rasmussen today: Obama now tied with McCain in North Carolina.

2. Obama's doing better than Clinton at the state level
Maybe what I should be graphing is the daily estimate of Electoral College counts for Obama vs. McCain and Clinton vs. Mccain.

But this is a lot easier.

3. They always have Obama down few points over the weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) then it goes back
up over the week.

5. Interesting. I never even noticed that.
I wonder why it happens. It implies a problem with their model -- that it doesn't account for sampling differences on the weekend.

6. Yes
all of Clinton's supporters are geriatric.

Does that mean all of Obama's supporters are children?

Mindless drivel.

8. Be that as it may, it does indicate a problem with the Rasmussen model
As I said in #5.

It's unlikely that opinion is actually changing that way every weekend and then back again during the week. It's much more likely that the sample changes and the Rasmussen model doesn't account for that.
