Showdown: the state that may seal Hillary's fate
No one tells Pat Beaman that Hillary Clinton cannot win the Democratic nomination to be the next President of America. As she volunteered her help at a Clinton campaign event last week, she responded furiously to the very idea.

'It is ridiculous to suggest she should quit!' Beaman said. 'It was not that long ago that we always chose the candidates at the convention and not before,' she added, as she shepherded in supporters who had come to see former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright hold a rally for Senator Clinton in the rusting Pennsylvania steel town of Bethlehem.
--
But there is also undoubtedly an ugly side to the racial equation in Pennsylvania, especially after the controversy over comments made by Obama's pastor, Jeremiah Wright. Even Beaman confesses some of her fellow Pennsylvania Clintonistas would never vote for a black candidate as President.

'This is a prejudiced state. Someone came up to a friend of mine the other day and said they would vote for a gorilla ahead of Obama. It can be shocking,' Beaman said.

1. Oh dear God
I hate it when idiots are interviewed from Allentown. We got enough of a bad rep from that damn Billy Joel song.

But you have the Kick Ass San Diego chargers which happen to be my second favorite football team since I was very small.

2. Hey, that's her base alright. I'm convinced this election will cause a realignment of the parties.
I can definitely see those encumbered by long-held ugly prejudices moving from Democrat to Republican, and those tired of the bullshit and willing to have an open mind and heart move to the Democratic Party where all the best people belong, doncha know? ;)

4. We have a lot of morans in Wisconsin too
and my guess is that they are more sexist than racist. So a few will vote for Obama that wouldn't have been willing to vote for Clinton. But most of our morans will vote for Senator bomb bomb.

7. After reading all the blistering hate mail for months the BO
supporters will fit in good with the Repbs. They are all alike.

6. It makes me sick when they obviously hope that is a racist state
Like a mantra they keep repeating it hoping to make it true.

Well it may have racists but I live in PA and it is a rare jarring moment when you encounter it. And chances are they are republicans and chances are highest that they dont even vote.

Praying for racism as a campaign strategy? And people wonder why we have become disgusted with who the Clintons have become?
