I'm Not Bitter - I'm Outraged

.........

How did we ever become so depraved as to tolerate what has been done in our names? And if anyone is bitter – so fucking what? How are we supposed to react to the dismantling of America? The shipping of our jobs overseas? The open predation of Big Business on the American people? The deteriorating condition of our cities, bridges, and national infrastructure? The growing number of unemployed, uninsured, and homeless Americans?

How deliriously happy and hopeful are we supposed to be
about the trashing of the Geneva Conventions, the shameful abandonment of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, extraordinary renditions, the first official US torture program in history, aggressive war, the rape of the middle class, the looting of the treasury, war profiteering, war crimes and government officials who smugly smile as they blatantly lie to us all with utter impunity?

Bitter? No. More like nuclear fucking outrage! What’s wrong with anyone who doesn’t get that? Huh Hillary? What the fuck is wrong with YOU?

If we don’t have the right to be bitter, then our last right has been taken away...not that I’m surprised.

Heh, I guess I’m just bitter.

3. I am profoundly offended by what people are calling "American" these days.
WE INVADED A SOVEREIGN NATION AND MURDERED MANY THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN OUR OWN DOMESTIC POLITICS.

WE SUBSIDIZE THE PRIVATE MERCHANTS OF DEATH WITH OUR TAXES AND OUR LIVES.

I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS OKAY WITH SO MANY AMERICANS.

I AM PROFOUNDLY, DEEPLY, AND IRREVOCABLY CHANGED BY THIS ABOMINATION AGAINST ALL MORAL LAW.

4. A US Army Ranger, a combat vet, told me I am serving
by working in campaigns to elect good progressives. A Captain you saw his Lt take one in his head.... told me... I served and you are serving, thank you. He reached out to shake my hand.

I fight my own personal issues of depression by fighting back at Bush and his Neo COn cronies, my own mental health is reliant on me defending my country by overthrowing the Neo Con Cabal. In 2004 I committed the next 10 yrs of my life to this cause.

I am not making this commitment because I am bitter, or pissed, or frustrated. I do it because I am scared shitless of what happens if I/we dont fight back. I do it because I am frightened to my core.

6. Me too: Frightened of Private Wars based on Private "Intelligence" subsidized by Taxes.
Please know that many of us who yammer on and on about how Immoral Bush's War is believe that many of the U.S. Military, even those who survived without physical damage or PTSD, were victimized by what happened too. You probably don't want to think of yourself as a victim, but "we" must recognize the possibility that we have indeed victimized our own military in a special way. They were LIED to and were, thus, robbed of the essence of their humanity, i.e. the FREEDOM to make informed choices regarding one's own behavior. It is not my place to absolve or condemn anyone here; I'm just trying to talk about and describe the REAL effect of all of the LIES and distortions created by Bush/Cheney, carried out by the MSM, and given a free pass by so many "Americans". We're never going to do better until we recognize our responsibility for what has happened.

Thank you very sincerely for your efforts to discover and take personal responsibility for what is right.

5. I may be a fool for trusting Obama because
awhile back I made the comment here that the candidate who can tap into American rage will take the nomination and the Presidency by a massive landslide, and that we are ripe for a demagogue.

I hope and pray that Obama is the leader we need, and not a wolf in sheep's clothing.

8. OBAMA=SNOB-IT'S AN ELITIST THING.....
Obama is trying to put a spin on his own recent words and make it look like he is a victim. He is trying to get the media to report that he only said the people in PA are bitter and they have a right to be. Sorry Obama, it is not going to work.

You(obama) said:

“And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

These are YOUR words, not guilt by association like Rezko, Ayers, Wright and the others, this is YOUR view, words out of YOUR mouth. Obama, did you say you were sorry? Nope, you tried to act like it is Hillary’s fault then tried to blame it on McCain. You stood by what you said and acted arrogantly about it. There is NO SPIN on this, Obama, you said it, you meant it and you should apologize for it, not try and blame other people for it. This one is on YOU Obama! Stop trying to spin it like you actually care for the people, like you are a victim as these words say something totally different. These are NOT “just words.’

When you pay attention you realize how bad it really is. I also know how good it should be. When Democrats are at the top of their game, there is one thing, amongst others, they can do good, and thats run a government.
