Edited on Sun Apr-13-08 02:31 PM by Stephanie

How appropos. Don't worry! Be happy!

Democratic presidential hopeful, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., eyes her shot of Crown Royal with
Bronko's owner Nick Tarailo, right, as she stops at the bar during a campaign stop at Bronko's restaurant
in Crown Point, Ind., on Saturday, April 12, 2008.

7. It was a bad mistake
What I read into this whole thing was that she was trying to show she was "regular folks" instead of a member of the elite multimillionaire club. However, people who drink whiskey neat do not cross their eyes when they bring the glass to their lips. She betrayed herself as a phony -- trying to be something she's not.

Best response: raise your glass to the others, clink if you have to, put the glass to your lips, don't drink, then put the glass down and say "Better not. I've got a lot of work to do today."

It's called political instincts.

She also just shot herself in the foot with a lot of deeply religious Christians who were just on the verge of buying how devout a Christian she was. Jimmy Carter was Christian. He never drank -- in fact, he never served alcohol in the White House.

11. Never question anyone's taste in anything
It may not be what you like, but there's no accounting for taste. For example, I really like Spam. I don't know why. I just do. People ridicule me.

But Re: frat party. We should be grateful she didn't let them slurp jello shots off her belly.

14. In Hawai'i, Spam is considered a local staple.

Within the subculture of Punjab Indians (those who DO drink, despite the religious admonitions against it), Crown Royal is the drink of choice. I've been to many Punjabi parties where all of the males (and it's still very segregated like that) will swill down bottles of Crown Royal. Why Crown Royal? I have no idea.
