Dental emergency yields interesting conversation here in PA:
this is FWIW...take it or leave it, but why shouldn't I share it?

I can't go into specifics, but suffice it to say that this person is in a postion to know what is discussed within the highest levels of the Executive Branch of the State Capitol in Harrisburg. Given the nature of the Information Age, it would not be difficult for 3rd parties to figure out who this is because they could easily figure out who I am based upon my history and demographics, so I need to be quite vague....I know you all get the point so I'll continue.

This individual told me that although there is a lot of posturing for Hillary by the powers at the pinnacle of the Commonwealth's government, a phenomenon which we have all witnessed on national TV and in print, the people below them, i.e. the staff, are assuming that Obama is going to be the nominee and that the phrase: "It's over", was uttered to me several times by this individual.

Now I do not expect anyone's response to be, "You said this so I'll take your word, and the word of the individual involved". I am many things but not an idiot...I am passing this along b/c we always wonder what's going on in the heads of many of these folk who work for all the hot-shots whom we see in media. It may be true, it may not be, but the person involved has never ever led me astray in political matters.

1. I don't doubt your story and I hope it's true. I have only one question.
What is the power or influence that is making these people PRETEND that they think something different from what they are saying?

7. I'm not sure I get this. The OP is saying "the highest levels of the Executive Branch"
which suggests that Rendell and his people understand that Hillary is done.

I phrased my post very carefully. Please try to understand that I can't go further for some obvious and not-so-obvious reasons.

8. I have a feeling that this person supports Obama...
but is a typical government functionary, quite intellectual and quite pragmatic, and very dedicated to the Democratic Party and I really can't tell for certain. That's the trick with these people: they don't telegraph all that much. You get only what they want you to get.

14. I appreciate. We all have bias
I would like to think that our area is heavily Obama from what I have seen on the ground, but if you look at the local media, they are all acting like Hillary has this wrapped up.

5. Not surprizing to me.
That the party that shut down Kucinich and Edwards would shut down Clinton if it felt it had to.

Sad, though.

wanted. Now, despite the fact that HRC's version of corporatism is far closer to what they wanted, they are starting to coalesce around not allowing McInsane to win. This is not a happy decision for the Blue Dogs. Now they will spend the rest of the season trying to get their candidate close to the presidential candidate they helped slime.

In these cases, for reasons that differ, the party is perfectly capable to push people under the bus after indulging them to a greater or lesser degree.

Like the wide stance party, we are fighting for our soul. At the moment, we appear to be winning. The wide stance party, not so much.

in PA requires a special permit now which also requires resuscitative set-ups and emergency treatment and scavengers and the like. All due to a single analgesia death some years ago.

I haven't offerred it for years...no need.

22. Why are people placing bets on the losing horse when
the race is over? I'm already in GE mode and I'm going to neglect my business, my family and my friends to get Obama elected.
