Another reason I am anxious for this to be over: VP VP VP
Who will it be????????? Obama has ran an excellent campaign. I am sure he has an excellent choice in mind and I am anxious to know who it is. My thoughts would be Joe Biden, John Kerry, Al Gore or John Edwards would be great complimentary candidates. I am sure he will pick one to overcome any potential perceived weakness. Is anyone else wanting this to be over so they can FINALLY find out who Obama's choice is?

1. He's going to need an old, white guy, preferably with military experience.

9. Yes...preferably southern.
But the military thing is key, that's for sure. He needs that defense against McCain.

4. I still think it's great that it goes on....
1) So I can laugh at Clinton a bit longer.
2) When in the last 30 years have the Democrats been the ONLY thing in the news?
3) Obama gets some good practice in before the big game.

And the veep will be none of those people. Veep is someone who gives the prez candidate something he doesn't already have, but has a chance at.

5. I still say Richardson
Biden, Clark, Edwards, Kerry would all be in the mix. I don't believe Mr. Gore would accept VP.

7. Richardson and Clark are certainly the two big names that have something to offer Obama...
... but there are a host of smaller names as well.

8. My guess is Jim Webb as VP.
White, Southern, may deliver Virginia in the GE, military and national security experience. He brings demographic balance to the ticket; his record as a highly-decorated Marine combat veteran is an electoral advantage; his principled opposition to the Iraq war from the beginning is in his favour; and his Senate seat is safe as Virginia has a Democratic governor who will appoint any replacement.

If not Webb, then possibly Wesley Clark.

I see Bill Richardson as SecState and Biden as SecDef in a hypothetical Obama administration; those are roles to which I think either is more suited than VP, not to mention that they probably bring less to the electoral calculus.

10. I am banking on Katheryn Sebelius (D-KS)
A top-notch red state governor, with executive experience, who fills in all the gaps. She'd have made a great 1 spot on the ticket this year.
