Mark Penn's replacement wants YOUR feedback.
Edited on Mon Apr-14-08 02:53 PM by yourguide
And lord knows I just gave it to him, wrote him a long letter about how sick I am of HRC and co being dirty:

Dear XXXXXXX,

You're an important part of our team, and I want to know what you think.
You've probably heard about some of the big changes going on in Hillary's campaign lately. My name is Geoff Garin, and along with Howard Wolfson, I'm now leading the campaign's strategy team. My job is to plot the path to the nomination and lay out the strategy that will get us there.

*snip*

I made a personal commitment to Hillary that her campaign would be as good and as strong and as smart as she is. And I want to ask you a favor to help me keep that commitment. In the days and weeks (and hopefully months) ahead, I want to know what you think -- about the state of the race, our campaign strategy, or your ideas for doing things differently. You've made an investment in this campaign, and I want your input as we plan the days, weeks, and months to come.

I can't promise that I can reply personally to every single message -- but I can promise to read them all.

Click here ( http://www.hillaryclinton.com/action/ideas/) to send me your comments, thoughts, and ideas about our campaign.

I'm really looking forward to reading what you have to say, and to working with you to help Hillary win!

Thanks,
Geoff Garin

1. Interesting. I was going to write him, also.
I was going to offer some constructive criticism. Rants are useless.

Make sure you advise him to take only money orders, cash, or certified checks.

The man has kids to feed I'm sure.

2. Done...
Simple, drop out for the good of the party...

Senator Barack Obama has more delegates, more votes, and more states won. The lead is too large to overtake, the SD's will not go against the delegate leader, and you are just hurting the Democratic chances from local to national races across the board in November.

Leave gracefully after you lose North Carolina, and you might be able to save some face.

It's obvious that all the goodwill Bill Clinton had across the nation, is gone now. ( Not that him being buddy buddy with Poppy Bush helped any. ) Don't let the same happen to you, lest it already has.

GOBAMA!

4. Dear Garin and Wolfson
I'd advise you to get your payments for your service to the campaign up front in cash. I'm sure you are doing hard work and I just want to make sure you get paid for it.

5. I put in my two cents.
Well I admire your willingness to step onto a sinking ship but I think the results are painfully obvious.

You can not right this ship it is over and all the campaign is doing at this point is raising both Hillary and Obamas negatives. If your goal in this cycle is to hope to preserve a run for 2012 then go get em tiger cause thats all you are doing at this point. The kitchen sink campaign coming from your camp is disgusting I used to respect the clintons but after the last two months I doubt I will hold them in anything but contempt going forward.

The only shot you have left at this point is to go entirely positive and stop with the rediculous parsing of Obamas words. Attack mcain and lift up Obama anything short and you will forever be remembered as the last captain of a ship that needed to be sunk.

11. my comment:
I am appalled of the gutter tactics that the Clinton Campaign has directed at fellow Democrat Sen Obama. I am a progressive who places TRUTH above all other attributes in a candidate. I believe Sen Clinton has demonstrated she has little regard for the truth (NAFTA, Bosnia sniper fire , her role in SCHIP, her role in the Irish Peace Plan, her "35 years of experience"). After nearly 8 years of lies with George Bush, I am not interested in electing a president who will deliver more of the same. Why didn't she ever take responsibility for her Iraq War Vote? Or the ramifications of her support of Kyl Liebermann?

What really bothers me about Hillary Clinton is the ties to Bush/BCCI/WalMart/Clinton financier, Jackson Stephens, and her role (along with her husband and Robert Sussman's) in allowing the East Liverpool Ohio Toxic Waste Incinerator to open on a floodplain on the Ohio River , just 1,100 feet from an elementary school. DESPICABLE. Placing financial connections over what is best for the public!

I believe the Clinton's failed to realize the power of information and a much better informed public. This is why those who spend the time to do the research (Daily Kos, Huff Po, Dem Underground, TPM-as examples) are adamantly OPPOSED to supporting her.

Having Mark Penn as Chief Strategist was very telling of just what a presidency under Hillary would be like. NO THANKS!

PS I am a white woman age 49-her demographic!
