$ Value of Clinton's attack ads being run for free?
Edited on Tue Apr-15-08 07:25 AM by Skwmom
We keep hearing how Clinton is being outspent but has anyone computed the dollar value of the "free" ad runs by cable "news? (On edit: and these ads are not limited to PA but are shown in NC, IN, etc).

Obama would be a fool to opt for public financing when media owners have such a vested interested in determining the next President. Republicans will attack and the smears will be run again and again on cable news, "journalists" will write one misleading article after another, editorials will be written without a shred of intellectual honesty, and talk show hosts and paid commentators will be willing to smear Obama and cheerlead for McCain to keep making the big money, to keep their television show or in the hopes of getting their own show.

Plus, I wouldn't want any responses to such attacks controlled by 527s which could very well include such political hacks such as James Carville (who based on prior conduct are surely far more concerned about a 2012 Hillary run than a Democratic victory in 2008).
