A "silly season" question for Clinton I wish they'd ask at the debate
Part of her "I can't believe what an elitist he is" smear is the "while he was at a private fundraiser in San Francisco" line.

So would someone please ask both Obama and Clinton just how many private fundraisers -- and where -- each has attended this past month? Then we'd be able to "judge" who has the most elitist connections.

2. The problem in San Francisco
was not his elitist connections. It was the WORDS he SPOKE to those connections.

4. It wasn't even the words...
it was how people dissected the sentences with the words in them. Really we have words taken out of context for one candidate and another candidate completely misrepresenting sniper fire publicly on three separate occasions. And look at what we talk about today. Your memory is impeccable.

7. And while the media spends days on end dissecting Obama's words,
the shockingly stupid stuff McCain says is largely ignored. In this particular instance, I'm referring to the fact that he apparently doesn't know whether condoms help prevent the spread of HIV.

9. Face it, he has to work through a lot of cobwebs
just to remember what a condom is! Peace, Kim

5. But that's become part of the smear
Implying that he sits around with his "fat cat" friends behind closed doors in San Francisco of all places making judgments on poor folk, while making it sounds like she's above -- or below -- such things.

3. It isn't about connections
or who has the richest friends. It is what you say to one group of Americans about another group of Americans

6. Let me tell you a little secret --
half the people he was talking to CAME from the area he was talking about.

Just like Roscoe Jenkins in the recent movie, many if not most successful urban elites have rural roots; the coasts are crowded with immigrants from the interior. As someone noted in another thread, their Ohio city lost 60,000 people in the past 25 years - where do you think they went?

He wasn't talking behind anyones' backs - he was talking to refugees from those very places. And they knew exactly what he was saying.
