RE:Obama, "That boy's finger does not need to be on the button"
http://polwatchers.typepad.com/pol_watchers/2008/04/republicans-tal.html

-snip-
U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis, a Hebron Republican, compared Obama and his message for change similar to a "snake oil salesman."

He said in his remarks at the GOP dinner that he also recently participated in a "highly classified, national security simulation" with Obama.

"I'm going to tell you something: That boy's finger does not need to be on the button," Davis said. "He could not make a decision in that simulation that related to a nuclear threat to this country."
-snip-

:wow:

I'm Speechless.

7. If it was really so "highly classified"
He shouldn't be talking about it.

2. This came out yesterday. He's already publicly apologized.
That being said, I don't buy it.

3. Was it public? I thought it was private to Obama himself.

4. Maybe. I guess I figured that if I heard about it, it must be public.
It's in the public now.

6. He delivered a letter of apology to Obama,
http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/04/14/889357.aspx

That's sort of an old trick - to say what you want publicly, and then go back in private to make the apology. I guess the media chooses to be "forgiving" on this one.

I'd like to know how many presidents would have performed in a similar situation. This is generally why CICs have staffs, advisors, and cabinets. :banghead:

8. I was more concerned about the part where
the southern white Congressman called the black Senator "boy."
I thought that was code for "n*gger," but maybe I'm being reactionary?

9. No, you are not reactionary
That's how many people see it. If not code for the N word it is definately meant to portray him as less than a man.
