Harry Reid: the Democratic nomination "is all going to be over very soon,"
From Politico.com

http://www.politico.com/blogs/thecrypt/0408/Harry_Reid_has_a_sense_of_humor.html

April 15, 2008

Harry Reid has a sense of humor!

It was one of those typical questions from a reporter gaggle on Capitol Hill: Does Harry Reid think the protracted nomination fight between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton will harm the party?

Reid didn't miss a beat.

"It makes me bitter," he deadpanned.

Reid has such a dry humor that you actually have to pause and look at him to make sure he's not being serious when he's attempting comedy. But his usual grimace in front of reporters quickly turned to a grin as he capitalized on the now infamous "bitter" comment made by Obama at a San Francisco area fund raiser.

In all seriousness, Reid said he believed the Democratic nomination "is all going to be over very soon," and he contended that "it has been healthy for our party."

Over very soon? Maybe Reid has added fortune telling to his comedy routine.

2. PA primary is in one week -- if she doesn't win big ...
maybe the "Party Elders" will go and tell her to drop it.
Even Murtha said she has to win the overall popular vote and
to win PA by 20 points ...

3. Combine this with the story that Carter and Gore were about to step in
And I bet that unless she wins BIG in PA they're going to show Hillary the door shortly after.

5. Didn't he say that last month?
Yeah, he did. Guess Harry is as effective in ending the primary as he's been in leading the Senate...

7. Over very soon...say, 23 April.
When Hillary wins Pennsylvania by 5-10, instead of the 20+ she NEEDS. When it's even clearer than it is now that her campaign is doomed. And the one thing that would make the schadenfreude even more enjoyable would be if it's Al Gore chosen to play the role of Von Helsing and to drive a stake through the heart of Hillary's presidential ambitions.

11. If Hillary wins by 1% she'll cllaim victory she'll take it to Indiana.
I don't expect it to be over over until June.

14. I tend to agree, unless she runs out of money. a 1% win in PA won't inspire donations

13. If they insist on disenfranchising Michigan and Florida voters then
-this primary will have as much legitimacy as bush's so-called "win" in 2000 - meaning NONE AT ALL!

I will NOT accept an Obama win if they do that to our voters in FLorida- AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

16. I live in Michigan.. we all know it was Clinton's cronies who wanted the primary moved up and
gambled with our right to vote......

Look into it some more, Obama didn't do anything wrong... it was all Hillary's supporters trying to work her name recognition before it wore off.

20. Oh, for freak's sake ....
... is it refreshing to hear such a comment. So much noise has been generated by Clinton and her surrogates that common sense has been left out in the cold.

19. Then please speak with the Florida Democratic Party leaders ....
... and have them do a re-vote or a caucus, according to the party rules. Should be simple enough, if they really want to make sure the voters are heard.

 I could be wrong.

... from a hole in the ground, as my Dad used to say.
