Anyone catch Tweety on Colbert's show last night? Do you think he's serious about
wanting to be a senator, and maybe running for Arlen Specter's seat next time around? He may just have the gumption to try, spittle and all.

1. There's a thread in GD about Specter's cancer returning.
He may not be running for reelection as planned. It would certainly be a different race without Specter.

2. Arlen Specter is a strange duck. He talks the talk, gets in a few zingers here and there, but never
actually delivers. Doesn't walk the walk. I thought I saw Tweety salivating when Colbert brought up the subject.

4. Yeah. I have learned not to get my hopes up when he talks tough. But still, I wish him the best
in his battle against cancer.

7. He said he would like to be a Senator.....he will run, but
he can't handle Colbert. How the hell will he deal with "real media', if it exists anymore.

8. Stephanie Miller made right-wing tool Chris Matthews cry like a sad little girl.

9. He should go for it if he wants it
I don't know who he would be up against, but right now he'd have a good shot.

10. I hope he has a strong opponent in the primary
I'd love to vote against his ass. Damn, I sure wouldn't want to have to vote for Tweety as my state senator!

11. If it's an open seat, then I hope we can do better.
But if Specter runs again, then I'd like us to try a candidate who starts out with name-recognition like Chris Matthews.
