Obama has to take the NAFTA/Columbia free trade gloves off
It's time.

Hillary has run mean stupid commercials criticising Obama on matters of little actual substance. She has called him an elitist, she has mocked his meassage of hope.

As Molly Ivins once said about the Repukes, "We will stop telling the truth about you, when you stop lying about us".

It's time for Obama to tell some truth about Hillary.

He needs to release a commercial that reminds Pennsylvanians that the Clintons supported NAFTA wholeheartedly and that Bill and Mark Penn have recently been in the employ of the Columbian government and business interests to get a free trade agreement passed. HE has to show the people just what this would have meant to PA. And he should illustrate how Hillary directly profited from her husbands side business.

It is no longer time to be nice, it's time to drive a stake in her and end her candidacy.

1. No He Can't. He can't go heavy on NAFTA or other trade issues. Not post-bittergate.
Not after his saying the small-towners cling to "anti-trade." It would just open himself up for a swift Bittergate comeback.

So in fact, I hope he tries it on Wednesday. Go for it, O-man!

2. Hillary has not worried about blowback
she has attacked like a Republican, it's time for Obam to return the favor and make her answer these tough questions.

Just how much money has Bill made trying to pimp that columbia free trade pact?

How much of that jack ended up in her pocket?

Inquiring minds want to know.

6. Why not?
People disapprove of NAFTA. He and Hillary should listen to us. It is unconstitutional to do trade deals behind closed doors by unelected trade people or the Executive branch. Congress and the people control trade not some far off WTO.

4. Time is on his hands
She blew her wad way too early on this thing. If history shows anything, he gets quite a sustainable bounce after she goes nuclear on him, if time permits. Give him the week. If he stays positive and delivers the goods the way that only he can, he'll be successful. I'm completely onboard with him not getting his hands dirty and addressing the issues head on. That's why we like him.

She's the politics of the past. And he's the future.

5. I agree
I would like to see her face to face with her own creation, the flying shit-storm. But I do not want to see Obama descend to her level. That does not mean that he can't make her deal with hard questions on these topics, especially with the forum of the upcoming debate. That would be a good thing.
