Probably every dollar in existence has been in a lobbyist's hands at SOME point.

EDIT: And LAWYERS??? LOLOL - they have jillions of clients. I'm sure Obama has a plumber who donated to him, and who has fixed some assholes pipes. OOOOHHHH NNOOOEEESSS!!!!

13. That's different from taking money from lobbyists.
If I buy a product at a retail outlet that buys their goods wholesale, have I bought the product wholesale?

7. It's that degree of separation thing, don't you know
If he associates with people who associate with lobbyists, then there's a "tie" there.

I think Obama should just go live on a mountaintop somewhere and not associate with any people. That would be the safest way to go.

14. Some people have died in the mountains.
So if Obama live on a mountaintop, then he is tied to their deaths, apparently.

10. What is the difference, exactly?
Clinton still does.

15. The purpose of not taking lobbyist dough is a political move showing one's is not owned.
Lobbyists get the brunt as the face of these special interests.

If Larry the registered lobbyists raises $200K for Obama, I see that as little different from Frank the formerly registered lobbyist whose firms still does lobbying raising $200K for Obama.

I do not think Obama is somehow bought off. I do think his convoluted word play with what donations he accepts is annoying.

11. This is as stupid as "Bill Clinton supports slave labor
because he owned stock in a company that was tied to a company that was tied to sweatshops"-gate.

16. Clintonistas: you shouldn't bring this up, glass houses & all...
We could bring up Mark Penn and Columbia's free trade and Blackwater and all that.

Even in the worst case scenario, Obama's a choir boy when compared to Clinton - she's up to her neck in lobbyist slime.
