Welcome to the GE, IMO Obama is not ready, his supporters should stop whining.
It is making him look fragile and need of protection. ABC played gotya and will create a media buzz,ie ratings, so get use to it. This what the GE will look like.

1. He can attack McCain like a republican, ruthlessly and without mercy.
How does one respond to a democrat attacking you like a republican?

20. Sniper fire...that's all it'd take.
It'd be bad enough during peacetime. When people have friends and relatives dying from REAL sniper fire, it's catastrophic.

17. Bullshit. This is NOT how politics should be.
That's the real point of Obama's candidacy. America deserves better than Karl Rove-Dick Morris politics. America deserves better than Sean Hannity and Charlie Gibson. We want to be free of this garbage.

The point that tonight's debate brought up is that Obama can't do it alone. He needs people like us to step up and say, loud and clear, "NOT THIS TIME".

21. Not ready for what?
He did pretty well defending his integrity against ridiculous questions having nothing to do with being President.

Tabloid politics is only allowed to flourish in America because of the capitalist model that corporate news organizations have adopted.

News organizations shouldn't be in the business of trying to get ratings. They should be in the business of reporting the unvarnished truth no matter what or who it's toes step on.

Ever flipped back and forth between the three main networks of old and seen pretty much the same tired ass stories covered during the nightly news on all three? How is that?

27. You don't get it
It's not about Obama, it is about the biased, republican like questions, the focusing on the wedge issues and ignoring the true issues - it is about if this is how badly they handle a debate in the primary can you imagine how badly they will treat their least favorite (the dem) in the general election debates.

Christ, can't you folks get your head out of your candidate's ass long enough to realize that this is only a sign of what will come if we allow the media to play the biased game, if we allow them to push the bogus messages and dodge the true issues?
