I will never vote for Hillary Clinton!!!! Not in this lifetime. I will abstain from voting or
I will write in Barack Obama's name. I have to look at myself in the mirror and sleep at night. I also have to teach my children that you don't do whatever it takes to win. She is not what we need leading our country.
Flame away, I don't care. I reiterate again I will not vote for her.

36. I guess I take the utilitarian long view...
perhaps by abstaining from voting you might increase the level of happiness (or at least selfish egoism) in your own life, but if that action results in a McCain win and lessens the total amount of happiness (or heightens the total amount of suffering) to a greater number of people...the rest of the country and half the fucking world...it's a douchebag move. I don't like her, I hate that I might be forced to yet again make a choice between the lesser of two evils, but sometimes life is a shit sandwich!

49. With respect,
I believe that Mr. Franklin had the long view when he stated, “Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.”

There is a time to be pragmatic, but not when core principles are at stake. We've had two stolen elections, our election process is broken, our Constitution and civil liberties are in shambles, and two of the remaining Presidential candidates have been bought and paid to defend the status quo. You are right -- if we live to see another day there may still be hope that things could change in the future. A future election(?) or a future generation might change things. Where would YOU draw the line?

54. I guess thoughtful people can disagree...
my principles aren't worth (to me anyway) allowing a dangerous man like McCain in the WH. If there was no war in Iraq, no threats of attacking Iran, no danger of having another extreme right supreme court appointee, no crippling debt or crumbling infrastructure then I would gladly show my disgust with the party by staying home or writing in my candidates name, as things stand, I cannot in good concience do that this time around...but if you have a different belief system, I can't change it and will respect you for standing on principles....

If there is no Democrat in the race and the choice is between GOP and GOP-Lite (aka the DLC), then I will vote for the GOP-Lite nominee (Sen. Clinton)

I will now work like crazy to make sure dems win a majority in both the house and senate to make sure the GE winner either follows an progressive path or check his ass big time if he doesn't.

Remember folks. In 08 the house and senate also matter.

Yes, the whole Republican Lite campaign is pretty disgusting. It's getting to the point where it's not even that "Lite" anymore. But remember Senator Strangelove is the Repub nominee.

Either way, though, I don't think you're going to need to worry. Short of alien invasion or sniper fire, Obama has a lock.

30. I was always a Clinton supporter, however this campaign has changed my mind,
It started in South Carolina, progressed from there. I went sideways with the 60 min comments "As far as I know" and the recent Rev Wright indignation as well as Bittergate have added to my disgust. I can pinpoint the final straw to her saying that she and McCain had passed the commander in chief test. Endorsing the Republican over the Dem is way to dirty. I no longer respect her, who cares if I like her. She does not represent me as a woman, or a leader.

At this point, Hillary is just trying to kneecap our progressive candidate out of her own jealousy and petty vindictiveness and because the corporate media and anti-progressive forces cheer her on.

I'm not sure I could. I know my husband won't. All this time I've been telling him he HAS to vote for Clinton if she is the nominee. Now I don't even know if I can do it myself. Every day she makes me angrier. I had the distinct impression that she was prepped in advance for some of that stuff in the interview (not going to call it a debate cause they didn't debate about anything). She had the knife ready to twist. Twist the knife and unleash that "sweet" smile afterwards as if to try to convince us that she didn't really twist that knife, no, not her.

... for aiding and abetting the continued disintegration of our country. If your lack of a vote for the nominated Democratic candidate helps McCain gain the presidency, we'd might as well all go down to our local Democratic HQ's and drink the poisoned Kool-Aid and put ourselves out of our misery before the country completely goes down the toilet.

Thanks. A bunch. In advance.
