There is no such thing as an EX-Marine! Once a Marine, always a Marine!

2. I meant it as a sarcastic response to those who question Rev. Wright's patriotism.

9. About half of the people who post here
take every single word posted literally. They wouldn't know irony or sarcasm if it hit them up side the head.

11. You got that right! Those of us with a semblance of "a sense of humor" must use the sarcasm tag.

3. My father would have agreed with you. :)
My mother used to complain that he only bought clothes that were green or khaki.

4. What has really been on my mind the past month is bitter-gate, wright, lapels, and Ayers. Fuck

5. That was my only disappointment of the evening. I was waiting for Obama
to explain that he took off his flag pin the day he noticed that other senators who were cutting veteran's benefits were all wearing theirs!

7. He Didn't Make a Mistake
To those of us in the real world, once you are done with an occupation, you are "former" or "ex". Only in the realm of military propaganda/brainwashing do some people have the problem of not moving on with their lives.

10. LOL, not a big mistake, my beloved Jarhead (husband) is a retired Marine
But yes, I know the Corps emphasizes that the term is "former" not "EX" Marine. Semper Fi (Always Faithful) ;)
