Poll question: Will you be supporting the Democratic nominee?
This is NOT a loyalty pledge. I'm just checking to see if you will be voting for the Democratic nominee whether it is Hillary or Obama.

1. If it's Hillary
Then Americans are too dumb, and deserve whichever one they get. Doesn't matter.

2. If it's Hillary I probably won't vote for her, since I'm in a safely red state.
I'll vote green rather than vote for any more DLC candidates.

3. But I can't answer both cases.
You need to rethink your poll. Perhaps two polls would be the simplest way to ask this question.

7. I will vote for EITHER of them
I've come around to supporting Obama as my first choice based on his positions on issues and his willingness to take risks (even if he bungles a little bit) and speak out on substantiative issues that most candidates either fail to address or "spin". I will proudly support and vote for Hillary if she (somehow) wins the nomination although I'm not crazy about some of her tactics and STATED positions on some issues BUT she would certainly be preferable to having another Republican and a continuation of the Bush (mis-)administration's failed policies for (at least) another 4 years. As I have often argued here and elsewhere, it will be much easier to bring around a Democrat to where we want them to be on issues/policies than a Republican.

8. True members of the Democratic Party will support the Dem candidate. Fair-weather Dems will
cut & run if their candidate is not the Dem nominee.

Democratic Party, they should support the Democratic Party candidate.

A corollary IMO is that if someone wants to run as a candidate representing the Democratic Party, that candidate should support 100% of the Democratic Party Platform.

10. This poll does not make sense
More than one option applies here. If it's Obama, he gets my vote, my time, my money, my heart and soul. If it's Clinton she gets my vote and maybe my volunteer time but I have to admit that there will be a part of me that hopes she doesn't win so Obama will get another chance in 4 years.

18. Obama said he wouldn't run for prez again (or was it Michelle who said it?).
I can understand that. Two years of campaigning on the road must suck shit big time.

22. I never heard that - any linkys?
Don't be making things up now...

And it would not be smart for him to say that - but wait - we're talking about obama here, so maybe he made ANOTHER stupid statement...

11. I would think most people would be able to choose at least two options in your poll.
It's 1 and 5 for me.

21. So far, yes - even if it is that asshole obama...
I will hold my nose and ONLY "vote" for him - or more accurately AGAINST McINSANE...I will NEVER vote for a repuke...

but I will not campaign, support, or talk positive about him. Period. Because there is NOTHING positive to say about him. Period.
