Another ROOKIE mistake:
Obama Compares Pro-Life Republican to Domestic Terrorist

http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewPolitics.asp?Page=/Politics/archive/200804/POL20080417d.html

Did he have to do this, did he really think this was a good idea? He might as well have poked them in the eye with a stick. This will be in every Christian News Bulletin around the country.

You have got to admit these are the types of statements that get the loonies all wound up and is a wedge issue that does have impact upon elections.

I am a 100% pro-choice woman, and I think Coburn is a frickin nut, so don't even try to go there.

Obama was courting them and he might have gotten some, but he compared one of their hero's to a

8. First, it's "heroes."
And second, you post anti-Obama material all the time, so I don't really think you can provide any insight into his campaign.

Always was, always will be. The more people know about Coburn, the better.

17. You calling it a mistake doesn't make it a mistake. He feels strongly about this issue and so do I.
If his poll numbers drop significantly because of it? THEN it's a mistake.

But again, I feel strongly that few people who agree with advocating for the death of abortion doctors would have voted for a Democrat anyway. So who cares?

20. The biggest set of mistakes politically over the past 25 years is NOT pointing these things out-
in no uncertain terms- and especially using the far right's own words.

Had Democrats done that with a whole host of issues- over many years (rather than enabling and legitimizing extremists) America wouldn't be in the sorry state it finds itself in now.

22. Alert based on this rule.
Do not quote or link to bigoted websites, or websites that republish content from bigoted websites. While many of these websites are easily identifiable, some are less obvious at first glance. Please be aware that even some anti-Bush websites also include bigoted content and are therefore not welcome here.

I'm doing this for every right wing link that Hillary supporters have been pulling out to justify their so-called support.

...you don't want to give your enemy any ammunition. Bots can talk about BO speaking "truth" all they want, but smart politicians know when to just keep their mouths shut.

veterans on the other hand...My Recollection of Hillary Clinton at the 1995 Camp David Meeting

"I have gone back to my 1995 notes to check my recollections of the event. My notes do not have any exact words, so I am not going to try to corroborate a particular phrase from Hillary Clinton or any other speaker.

But what is clear in both in my memory and my notes is that there was extensive, hard-nosed discussion about why masses of voters did not support Clinton or trust government or base their choices on economic as opposed to what people saw as peripheral life-style concerns. Hillary Clinton was among the most cold-blooded analysts in attendance. She spoke of ordinary voters as if they were a species apart, and showed interest only in the political usefulness of their choices -- usefulness to the Clinton administration, that is."

before you yell out sexist this writer is a woman and the only woman invited to that 1995 meeting outside of Hillary
