Obama and Hillary throw Carter under the bus thanks to pressure by the right
Edited on Thu Apr-17-08 11:17 PM by gore000408
As soon as the right-wing, including the Scooter-Libby-loving Washington Post editorial board criticized Jimmy Carter for planning a meeting with the Hamas leadership, Obama an Hillary's campaigns quickly jumped to disagree with Carter. I was disappointed with their decision really. Arafat, for example, was once a terrorist and turned out to be a Nobel Prize winner of peace later on. Hamas can follow the same path. Why not?

The Washington Post cites Hillary's disagreement: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/09/AR2008040903533.html
Reuters reports on the Obama campaign's distancing with Carter http://www.reuters.com/article/latestCrisis/idUSN16369480
