1. Neither -- but if i had to choose: Definitely Obama
Edited on Fri Apr-18-08 02:06 AM by quantass
It's only because he has a big hardon for his own healthcare despite being 95% identical to Obamas is what prevents him from endorsing Obama....hell, virtually all his supporters have turned Obama so it is safe to say he would too (if it wasnt the healthcare slight difference).

2. Neither
It won't be Hillary, but I think he's more likely to stay on the sidelines than endorse Obama.

Clinton supporters who think he might endorse her clearly never paid attention to a thing he said during his campaign.

Didn't he just put his running on hold?

If so,wouldn't he be wise to keep his options open until the Convention?

14. That was for legal reasons. His campaign is over
By "suspending" instead of ending it officially he was able to get another round of FEC funds to pay off campaign bills. This is not unusual for a campaign.

8. He didn't mention any of those issue tonight on Colbert......
he's gone back to poverty and health care only. Didn't mention corporate powers or anything remotely close. So I'd say if anyone, it would be Hillary, for the fact that she wants mandates (weird narrow reason considering)....but he left out lobbyists and corporate powers out for a reason, although when he was running last, he was railing against the Corporate powers.

Maybe one day, we'll see.

There is much more, such as Edwards' campaign manager pointing out Obama "sold out" to the insurance industry in Illinois. If he did it in Illinois what makes one thing he would not do it in DC?

15. Compromising on one bill doesn't make someone a sell out.
Its called the legislative process.
Of course we know Edwards already sold out on issue after issue when he was in Washington and I'm sure he would have again. Obama and Kucinich were the progressive choices in this election and I'm glad one of them is about to win.

40. I think it is just the reverse.
John's for Hillary's policies...Eliz is for Hillary's Health care plan but not for Hillary personally...thus, no endorsement. If they ever endorse...they will endorse Hillary. Frankly I don't think they really like either one.

I think they like Clinton's ideas more than Obama's but they don't think Hillary can win so they won't endorse her. They don't want to lose their chances of getting a cabinet post in an Obama administration. I can see them endorsing Hillary if she shows a lot of momentum and a chance to win. I think Hillary would give him a job he could die for...but Obama won't. Hence no endorsement for Obama.

19. The Democratic nominee. It is clear he has problems with both
All reports we have gotten have said he thinks Obama will bring change while Clinton will not--except that Obama can't win while Clinton would "pummel" the rethugs. Obama can't bring any change if he loses. When you accept that it is not a choice between Clinton and Obama but Clinton and McSame.

we have an actual nominee. Not only do I think he doesn't really support either one, but by remaining neutral he has more leverage to get some input in the platform.

I don't see it his best interest to piss either off in case somehow they become the nominee. Plus he can play the role of a broker if things end up a draw.

I think he will endorse her. Her health care plan is more in line with his as he said in one of the debates when going after Obama. If Hillary wins less he won't endorse anyone and push for a nice speech slot at the convention.
