Proof - OBAMA Is NO "Elitist" $20.00 Haircut
Edited on Fri Apr-18-08 08:59 AM by kpete
Come with BuzzFlash.com and take a visit to Senator Barack Obama’s barber shop, home of the “Obama Cut.” If you can judge a man by his barber shop, Obama’s a regular guy, talking sports – and still using the same barber after 13 years. So open the door and learn about the best cut you’ll get for $20, as BuzzFlash.com visits Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood.

19. $1500?
WTF could someone do to her hair to make it worth $1500? She has short hair. Cut, color, style ... $1500?!?

20. Yeah, that is too much. But... her hair looks very very nice these days, I have to say.
Short hair that is layered and colored with several tones is expensive. But I bet you could have it done in my town for under $200. Maybe this includes airfare for the hairstylist to style it wherever Hillary is?? dunno

25. I noticed that during the debate. It does look very nice.

:-)

But like we say in my neck of the woods: "Nice ... but not 15 hundred dollars worth-a nice!"

I know a couple of people who've had the multi-tone highlighting done. One had a short, layered cut. It cost around $200. The other had long hair, so hers cost closer to $250, I believe.

30. unfortunately, she has to make sure that her hair and makeup are PERFECT, otherwise people talk
it is the price of being a woman in the public eye.

I am sure that she does not prefer to be spending that much, she could get that extra hour and a half of sleep every morning instead, but in our sexist society, it is unfortunately necessary.

and the best people cost money....

Here in West Texas, no. You won't find many barbers charging 20.00. But in a big, eastern city? I can see it.

It's more of a hair stylist place but it's the only place around me open on the weekend. A cut in a barber shop near me is about five bucks cheaper (including tip.)

8. Awww, that makes me happy
I gotta give love to barbers. The fade, the taper...these are not easy cuts. And shaving with a straight razor? Scary as hell. And those chairs...sigh. I love barbers.

And pays 20.00. Sounds pretty down-to-earth to me.

21. Not 10 million
I think it was a little over 4 million. Where did you get 10 million from?

And yes, he has money now, but it was not that long ago when he and Michelle did not have a lot of money. It's only in the last couple years that he has really gotten rich.

26. Ack! Now I'll never get my husband to switch hair stylists
I've been trying to get him to go to another stylist who charges a whopping $35 per haircut. But he likes his $20 guy - even if the haircut has looked the same since 1983. I love the man but now I will never win. I can hear it now: "If a $20 haircut is good enough for the O-Man, then it's good enough for me.":bounce:
