the paralyzed veteran gave him. It would have meaning beyond just slapping one on like most of the "patriots" out there, and it would mean the world to that disabled vet. And probably many more veterans as well. He missed an opportunity on that one, IMO.

I appreciate Obama's concerns on the lapel pin issue, but it's really a small thing. The Constitution pin is nice. An eagle pin would do it, too, if he doesn't want the flag.

Why not wear a lapel and avoid alienating any potential voters? We'll need every vote in the fall.
