8. Did you see your guy(s) on The Colbert Report last night?
And did you see how immediately after Hillary did HER segment, Colbert did a piece on the debate and Stephanopoulos?! :D

13. I was homesick for John -- he did a great job!
I fully support Senator Obama, but there is a huge part of me that wished John were still in this thing.

10. I lived near Williamsport for a few years
....in Lewisburg. You can't get much more "red state" than that area. I'll be interested in seeing what the questions are like and how responsive the crowd is.

11. He was asked how he'll CONTINUE being president to 2012 (he meant 2016) and Obama
said, "I don't wanna count my chickens before I'm hatched-before they're hatched, I'm hatched..." (laughter). :D

22. He had one this morning in Erie, PA.
Edited on Fri Apr-18-08 04:08 PM by KnaveRupe
Tickets were made available for the event at 5pm Wednesday, and all 1800+ were just about gone by 9pm.

By 8:30am yesterday, they were announcing on the news that all the available tickets were gone, but that people could still be on the waiting list.

This morning, Barack was scheduled to speak at 10:30am, and the doors to the venue were to open at 8:30. We arrived at 8:15, and there were already several hundred people queued up outside waiting to get in.

He spoke for about 20 minutes, then took questions from the crowd for the rest of the time. The energy in the room was something. Western PA is supposed to be Clinton country, but let me tell you - the enthusiasm of that crowd made me believe that Obama is going to do well in PA.

I'll be working GOTV all weekend and volunteering at HQ on election day, so I'll report more about how our little corner of PA is doing as the weekend progresses. But I'm really starting to think that Yes. We. Can.
