"ActivistGate" is going to bite Hillary in the ass BIGTIME !
Hi. I'm a 40-year-old white male from SMALLTOWN Maine. I hunt, fish, fly the flag, read the bible,
love baseball, drive an American made car, love apple pie, love my wife, child, and my mother.
Do I sound like a "tree hugging, sandal wearing, long-haired, Volvo-driving, latte drinking, MoveOn activist" to you?? Uh uh. But, I WAS present at the BIGGEST Maine caucuses in our history to support Obama, as was my 65 year old mother whom had NEVER voted in a caucus before. For her to stereotype me and mine is this way is SHAMEFUL. AND, there were ZERO reports of ANYONE being "intimidated" by Obama supporters. (Also, she narrowly won caucuses in Nevada and New Mexico and I didn't see her complaining then.) This is NOT a "gaffe". This was a clear FALSE, NASTY, WHINING, and PATHETIC attempt to explain away her inept FAILURE to organize sufficiently for the caucus states. Is this what we want in a President? A sour grapes whiner who passes the buck and throws others under a bus to cover for HER FAILURE to run an effective campaign? We are seeing the HUGEST turnouts EVER in caucus states, and it is folks from ALL walks of life and NOT just "activists". This is AWFUL and we MUST press it HARD !

16. Let's see how the media makes this. That will determine this whole thing.
I'll be pissed if they give her a pass and kill Obama for his comments.

17. This is indeed the bottom of the barrel for Hillary. This is way bad/good
The way bad in that the Dems have had their closets exposed prematurely some might say...

The way good in that Hill's revealing her true self and Obama's revealing himself to be up
to the task of being our next President and is steadily climbing in the polls.

it could be a lot worse.

23. she doesn't care because she is
really just a republican with a d by her name. She and most of the party have been ignoring the grass roots for years. Unfortunately she has taken up every republican campaign tactic except the one that requires them to panders to their grassroots base. That's the DLC for ya!!

24. Hillary is trying hard to cast the netroots negatively in the minds of the dem base, read this
comment from Kos thread and there are many who feel this way there.

"It's like the way the Republican right (3+ / 0-)

reframed social justice issues in the late 60s and 70s to be about crime and menace. The Clinton campaign is trying to reframe the netroots as a menace to the heart of the Democratic base, ordinary working people.

It is critical that we don't overreact in ways that allow her campaign to exploit that meme. At the same, we need not be passive. Believe me, their success absolutely depends on our overreaction."

And I want to thank your 65 year old mother for coming out to caucus. Nicely written post with nice perspective without being overblown. We don't want to take the bait and feed Hillary's victim strategy.
