You don't piss off one of the most powerful organizations in the Democratic party. All that matters at this point are the Super Delegates. Guess what? Pissing off an organization that brings in tens of millions of dollars (someone on MSNBC said they spent HUNDREDS of millions in 2004?), and has a massive GOTV effort, plus a membership of over 3 million active supporters....

Now imagine the general election without that support, and throw in Hillary's high negatives.

Sorry, but this only sends yet another message to the SDs that Hillary has serious flaws.

Further, it plays into her biggest weakness: Not being honest and pandering to anyone who will listen. See this:

No, if she released this, she is suicidal.

1. She has pissed off the entire Democratic Party!
Edited on Fri Apr-18-08 10:04 PM by melody
One organization is nothing!

Incidentally, conspiracies happen all the time -- that's what a campaign strategy is -- a conspiracy.

12. Give it a few days
This story broke when everyone on the Right Coast went home for the weekend. It will be big on Tuesday, if not earlier if CNN's Ballot Bowl covers it tomorrow afternoon.

2. They had already endorsed Obama a couple months ago.... and...
Edited on Fri Apr-18-08 10:08 PM by scheming daemons
Over 80% of them are Obama supporters.

I'm going to type this slow so you understand:

Hillary is not interested in winning the general election this year... she's already given up on 2008. She has 2012 in her sights and her SOLE purpose for everything she does now is to bloody Obama up so much that McCain wins.

That's it.

This is to help McCain. She knows she's lost, and she's marginalizing Obama as far to the left as she can.... so that McCain steals the center.

It's all about 2012 now..... and her campaign released this on purpose.

Obama's playing chess, and Hillary's playing checkers.... generally. But this was a chess move.

Read up on Sister Souljah. Learn.

She's conceding the far left to grab the center... and that won't be enough for her. But she'll soon hand that center over to McCain.

And it might be enough for him.

3. And this problem with the Democratic base will conveniently disappear in 2012? Sorry, but that's
bullshit.

If she can't win in 2008, she will not win in 2012, 2016, or any other year.

6. She's pulling a Lieberman..... you're too much on the inside to see it....

The "Moveon.org crowd" term is a dog-whistle that scares indies and moderate dems away from Obama.

Don't fall for it.

11. A year earlier she thought she was going to be the nominee... and she thought she'd need them....

Now that they "screwed her" (in her mind) by endorsing Obama, she has no problem divorcing herself.

She's pulling a Lieberman.

Wake up.

15. I agree with you.
But does Hillary?

I think she is to the point that nothing matters anymore except making sure that if she can't win, neither can Obama! Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying she put out the tape, just that she has gone over the edge, and has made this a personnel thing with Obama. I think that she has already cooked her goose for any other shot at being president, and if she doesn't get out soon, her political career will be in the toilet! I have seen people like this before who hold a grudge and will do anything, no matter how bad it makes them look in order to get revenge!

I only wonder who had this tape and why they held on to it for so long.

10. What's sad is that the "conspiracy" is plausible.
Sure, it would be career suicide, unbelievably stupid, and just plain absurd for her to do such a thing....

But sadly, we've come to expect no less than such bizarreness from Hillary.

and got caught with her pants down again

life goes on

but it's indicative of her deep disconnection from the rest of us

The MAJORITY OF AMERICANS BELIEVE SHE IS A LIAR AND A SCHILL FOR WAR PROFITEERS
