So my son is heading off in the snow today to vote for Obama

Where? you ask.

He's a precinct-level Obama delegate to a county convention in Washington State, and he IM'd my husband an hour ago to say he was up at 6:30 am to get ready and it was snowing there.

Washington has an elaborate system of precinct caucuses (which were in February), legislative district caucuses, county conventions, congressional district caucuses, and finally a state convention which choses the national delegates.

My son was elected at the precinct caucus to be an Obama delegate at today's county convention.

If he has anything interesting to report, I'll post it later.
