We all have our choices and all have good reason to select our candidate. Come election day we will vote for the Democrat because no matter how noxious the choice is, the Supreme Court possibilities must not be lost.
The real problem is that there will be so many disgruntled "winners" that the candidate will lose half of the popular support needed for the changes they hope to make. The longer and more rancorous this primary season is the less likely the Party is to have real popular support that carries into the next four years. The problem with that - four years of struggle - a loud voice for change and a new President in 2012.
knowing there is no way to win the nomination - make it hard for Obama to win the GE and then be the "loud voice for change and the new President in 2012".
3. Sadly, we have three republicans to choose from...
We have Hillary, a Democrat who campaigns like a rabid republican. We have Obama, a Democrat whose supporters act like rabid republicans We have McCain, a republican who IS a rabid republican.
